Kia Carens Scores A Five-Star Safety Rating In Latest Crash Tests

The brand-new Kia Carens MPV scored a five-star rating in lates crash tests conducted by EuroNCAP!

EuroNCAP, Europe’s leading road safety organisation, has given the all-new Carens MPV a 5-star safety rating.

The stylish 7-seat compact minivan scored maximum points for side impact protection against a barrier, front seat whiplash protection, child protection and protection for pedestrians’ legs.

During the crash tests, the Carens scored 94 percent for adult occupant safety, 76 percent for child occupant safety and 64 percent for pedestrian safety.

It also achieved high scores for its up-to-date safety assist equipment (81 percent).

Speaking of latest safety technology, the brand-new Carens offers a plethora of standard safety features, including front, side and curtain airbags (6 all thogether), electronic stability control -ESC, hill-start assist control, seatbelt reminders for all occupants and emergency stop signalling system, called ESS, which flashes the brake lights to alert motorists behind the car when the driver is making an emergency stop.

Kia’s “5-Star” Vehicles

Kia Carens is already the sixth Kia model that has achieved a five-star safety rating in Euro NCAP crash tests.

The Euro-market cee’d hatchback was the very-first Kia model to score a five-star safety rating.

Other Kia models scoring maximum points during the EuroNCAP crash tests are Venga, Soul, Sorento and Sportage.
