First official photo of the 2013 Kia cee’d GT 5-door hatchback has surfaced to the web!

Set to make its official public premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in March, the cee’d GT 5-door adopts the same styling treatment as the three-door Pro_Cee’d GT.

As evident from the images here, the 5-door cee’d GT looks every bit as convincing as its 3-door sibling model.

The cee’d GT 5-door hatchback cars features a similar masculine body kit with large air intake openings, along with stylish 18-inch alloy wheels and LED daytime running lights. Back at rear, the GT hatchback sports a restyled rear bumper with diffuser and twin exhaust.

The 2013 cee’d GT uses the same 1,6L GDI petrol turbocharged engine as the 3-door model. The highly-advanced turbocharged 4-cyl. engine generates 204-horsepower and 265 Nm of torque.

Sales of the all new cee’d GT will commence in Europe in the second half of 2013 with production scheduled to begin at Kia’s European manufacturing plant in Zilina in May, 2013.

Update: We have added some spy shots of the undisguised cee’d GT 5-door, caught testing in South Korea! [Photos from: bobaedream]

I prefer the looks of the Forte 5-door.

I highly doubt that the Forte will ever outsell the Civic or Corolla simply because of production capacity, unless they build more plants.

to our earlier discussion on a previous thread with regards what is being announced at the NY Auto Show in late March – it will be the Soul, Forte Koup and the revised 2014 Optima sedan and I think someone said that’s what they thought – so your right.

Kia doesn’t need another small CUV with the Sportage, the “tweener” Sorento (in btwn a compact and midsize) and the Soul (esp. if the next Soul gets AWD which seems to be the indication).

Kia is in more need of a full-size, 3-row CUV; maybe with the next gen Sorento, Kia will do what Hyundai did and develop a LWB version of the new Sorento.
