Kia Sedona 3,3L V6 MPG Fuel Economy Ratings

The new 2015 Kia Sedona is priced between $26,975 and $40,585, and get as much as 25 mpg on the highway.

The new model, which was first seen at the New York auto show, boasts a whole new body design and a host of new premium features.

All trim levels come with a 3.3L V6 engine mated to a 6-speed automatic that delivers 276 horsepower.

The fuel economy for the Kia Sedona is dependent upon the trim level that you choose.

The L, LX, and EX trims all deliver 18/24/20 mpg city/highway/combined.

The SX trim employs electric power steering that takes the numbers to 18/25/21, while all the extra equipment included on the SXL adds weight that drops the fuel rating to 17/22/19 mpg.

The new Kia Sedona L is the base model and starts at just $26,795 (including a destination charge of $895).

There is a ton of standard equipment that includes keyless entry, 4-speaker audio system, 17-inch steel wheels, 6 airbags, satellite radio, Bluetooth, and rear parking sensors.

The LX trim level starts at $28,995, and comes with tinted privacy glass in back, 17-inch alloys, roof rails, LED running lights, backup camera, 6-speaker sound system, and automatic headlights.

The Sedona EX starts at $32,995, and adds a 2.1-amp USB port, digital display on the instrument cluster, chrome handles on the interior door, leather seats and steering wheel wrap, a windshield wiper de-icer, 18-inch wheels, fog lights, and seating for 8 thanks to bench seating on the second row.

The next level up us the Sedona SX, which starts at $36,995. As well as all the items mentioned on the EX, it also comes with 8-speaker Infinity sound system, LED taillights, memory seat function, cooled seats in front, navigation system, and 8-way power driver’s seat.

At the top of the line is the $40,995 SXL trim level, which adds Nappa leather, parking sensors in front and back, dual sunroofs, automatic wipers, heated wood-trimmed steering wheel, 19-inch wheels, and chrome door handles.

The pricing for the Sedona is similar to other minivans on the market:

  • Honda Odyssey retails between $29,805 and $45,430
  • Toyota Sienna range goes from $27,805 to $47,590,
  • Nissan Quest is priced at $27,080 to $43,730
  • Dodge Grand Caravan lists for $21,890 to $30,990
  • Chrysler Town & Country costs $31,760 to $42,990
