Get a sneak peek of the new 2014 Kia Soul crossover and preview it before it hits the showroom floor with latest spy shots!

The next-generation Kia Soul crossover, one of the most popular Kia cars, has been spied for the very first time undergoing preproduction road testing.

A heavily camouflaged Soul CUV prototype gives us a first true look at the exterior and interior layouts of the upcoming Soul successor.

Rumored to hit the market late next year, the 2014 Kia Soul appears to retain its boxy shape and compact size.

The new Soul crossover also looks slightly sportier than the current model thanks to the higher front end and falling roof line.

The front fascia of the all-new Kia Soul will feature heavily revised LED headlights, new signature grille and slightly sportier front bumper, while at rear, the model will incorporate restyled taillamps and new bumper.

As evident from the spy photos, the 2014 Soul crossover will also sport a heavily redesigned interior reminiscent of Kia Track’ster concept car!

This is really promising and we can not wait to see more camo-free interior shots hitting the web!

Well, maybe it’s just a test mule… it doesn’t look that different from the current one… i really hope it’s just a test mule, because i am expecting much better from kia in the new soul! and the awd version!!!

I would be disgusted if Kia put AWD in the Soul. Even in northern Michigan, the average driver doesn’t use AWD enough during 3 months in winter to justify the extra cost, complication, and reduction in fuel economy. It would be an absolute waste of money for Kia to develop AWD for the Soul.

The GT is nothing more than a concept, so I don’t see how that factors in. The Cadenza and Quoris are actual in-the-flesh cars. The GT is a pipe dream. The Sportage is more SUV-like. Even if I wanted to buy a Sportage, they are basically non-existent. Especially in the SX trim. My local dealer hasn’t seen as SX in months. I’ll tell you what is nice – the Optima Limited. I took one of those for the day about a week ago – I was very reluctant to give it back!

Why is it such a bad idea Greg? Up here in Canada we see snow for up to 6 months. Also, does that mean it’s a bad idea that they put awd in every vehicle? Think before you speak.
