Cost of Kia Soul in U.S.

How much does the 2020 Kia Soul cost (base & fully loaded model)? Find out in the blog post below!

Kia has released pretty much all details about the new Soul crossover (2020 model year) including the official U.S. MSRP.

We now know exactly how much does the Soul cost, so why don’t you have a look at the details below?!

As you already know, the boxy Kia crossover vehicle has been a smashing hit for the South Korean car brand in the United States. One of its key selling points has always been its affordable starting price.

We are not saying that the Soul is a cheap car, because it isn’t! There are other lower priced vehicles currently on sale in the U.S., however, hardly any of them can offer the same amount of style and premium features than the boxy Kia “hamster car”.

On top of that, the Soul has been rated as the top quality vehicle in the segment for the past couple of years, according to US-renowned J.D. Power & Associates!

Those are some of the main reasons why this youth-oriented Kia crossover has become such a hot-seller in the United States.

You now know a couple of basic facts about the vehicle, so let us dive into pricing details and check how much does the new Kia Soul cost.

Available trim levels on Kia Soul 2020

The previous generation model has been offered with three different trims in U.S. (Base, Plus and Exclaim). The new generation 2020 Kia Soul, however, comes with no less than 7 unique trim levels offering consumers even more choice. Those are the:

  • LX
  • X-Line
  • S
  • EX
  • EX Designer Collection
  • GT Line 2.0
  • GT Line 1.6T

Cost of base Soul LX

The MSRP of the entry level 2020 Kia Soul starts at $17,490. This is the Soul LX with 2,0L 4-cylinder gasoline engine and 6-speed manual transmission.

Those who prefer automatic transmission over the manual one can also buy a base model of the Soul LX with the IVT automatic transmission. In this case, the MSRP starts at $18,990.

Cost of Soul S (2020 model year)

The S trim gets the same powertrain technology as the base model mentioned above, but adds more standard features. Among others, you will get 16-inch alloy wheels, tricot cloth seat trim, forward collision avoidance assist and blind spot collision warning system.

The new Kia Soul S costs $20,290.

EX Soul

The Soul EX sits in the middle of the range and has a starting price of $22,690. It comes loaded with a wide number of safety features and employs an IVT automatic transmission, coupled to the 147-horsepower 2,0L 4-cylinder engine.

More rugged Soul X-Line cost

The Soul X-Line incorporates the most rugged exterior design of all Soul models available in U.S. It looks almost like an SUV but, unfortunately, doesn’t offer AWD.

Still, if you’re looking for an attractive compact crossover, this model should be on your list of “top models to buy”.

The cost of Soul X-Line in U.S. is $21,490.

GT Line

There are two GT-Line trim levels available on the new Kia Soul. The “regular” one, which comes fitted with the base 2,0L 4-cylinder engine and the “sporty” one with 1,6L turbo engine.

The GT-Line is less powerful than the turbo model (read below), but sports a nearly identical exterior look as the more potent sibling model.

The cost of Soul GT-Line: $20,290

GT-line turbo

Sitting at the top of the range is the fully-loaded Soul GT-Line turbo, priced $27,490. This trim level offers a plethora of premium features and comes fitted with the 1,6L GDI turbo engine and 7-speed dual clutch (DCT) automatic gearbox.

Destination charge

The above-mentioned prices of the 2020 Kia Soul do not include the cost of shipping to your local Kia dealer. There’s a destination charge of $995 that you need to include in the total cost of this funky Kia crossover!
