Next-generation Kia Soul to go on sale next year as a 2019 model!

Kia Motors’ top-selling model in the United States, the Soul crossover vehicle, will receive a complete makeover for the 2019 model year.

The news was revealed by a Kia executive at an investor meeting in Seoul, recently.

While details about the third-generation Soul boxy car remain scarce at this point, we have learned that the new generation model will make its official debut in the second half of 2018.

As evident from these exclusive 2019 Kia Soul spy shots, the new generation model vehicle is going to keep its unique boxy shape, but at the same time, it might feature a little more rugged exterior appearance compared to the current model.

Additionally, the new model is rumored to adopt the new Kia all-wheel-drive system and several styling cues from the hardcore Trailster concept car, which made its public debut at Chicago Auto Show last year.

The whole new Kia hamster car could also spawn several new models.

We have already seen a topless version of the Soul, called the Soul’ster, and a MINI-like Track’ster sports car (both in concept car forms, though), but latest rumors suggest that an additional model might be in the cards! [Source: Reuters]

The Soul is such a cool little car, so I am really looking forward to seeing the next design expression. Kia must have it well developed already for such an early release next year. The design sketch looks really sporty.

The japanese companies are shameless in copying german and niw korean companies. Mazda copied the santa fe tail lights.
Lexus and bmw is copying the sonata tail lights. Honda is copying kia and volvo shamelessly. Toyota lexus is copyong hyunda sonata tail lights. It really is a travesty to what is going on in the car industry. Nobody has any imagination anymore.
These companies are so money hungry that they are resorting to stealing designs to keep customers.
At least hyundai and kia are keeping their designs relatively unique foe the most part in modern times. Hyundai did
copy other car companies in the past i have admit.i
