Kia Stinger GT-Line is the most affordable trim level on sale in US.

Three years after first put on sale in the United States, Kia have done some extra work to make the Stinger sports sedan even more attractive.

The South Korean automaker released the 2022 Stinger facelift and introduced a new entry-level GT-Line trim level.

The 2022 Kia Stinger GT-Line combines the entry-level 300-horsepower 2,5L 4-cylinder powertrain with the exterior looks of the more aggressive V6 powered Stinger GT.

With the starting price of only $36,090 for the 2022 Stinger RWD (or $2.200 more for the AWD variant), the Stinger GT Line is a great deal and a top alternative to the highly established pemium sport sedans.

1. What is the GT-Line trim level?

Kia Motors America have done some enhancements to the Stinger line-up with the newly launched GT-Line trim level being one of the main changes for the new model year.

The GT-Line trim is the base trim level and the cheapest you can get in the Stinger range.

That doesn’t mean it is the underdog of the range. Right the opposite. The 2022 Kia Stinger GT-Line looks just as good as other available models in the Stinger range. It basically gives the entry level Stinger the same striking looks as the range-topping GT model.

2. What is different compared to the outgoing base trim level?

Inside, the model comes with a black headliner, GT-Line logo on the front headrests, and a leather-wrapped and heated steering wheel.

2. Engine & transmission specs

Knowing that this is the base model in the Stinger line-up, the vehicle comes equipped with the 2,5L 4-cylinder turbo engine that cranks out 300 horsepower, while the engine is mated to the 8-speed automatic transmission.

If you’re looking for more performance, then you’ll have to opt in for one of the two available GT trim levels that come fitted with a more potent 368-horsepower V6 twin turbo engine.
