Sporty Soul EV (Rendering)

2

Our friend Darren Hanna is the creator of this image rendering which showcases the new generation Kia Soul electric car. Darren’s Soul looks slightly different than the Soul EV Kia released at the L.A. auto show last year.

As you might have guessed, the vehicle boasts a slightly sportier exterior look thanks to some minor styling enhancements. Darren enhanced the looks by painting the front fascia plastic panel in black color and replaced the original alloys with those found on the Soul X-Line. In addition, he also added black plastic cladding and re-painted the Soul’s roof.

The result is amazing and reveals how only minor styling tweaks can make the new Soul EV look even better.

Do you think Kia should introduce a similarly styled Soul EV in the U.S.? Perhaps they should label it “the Soul EV GT”?!

Feel free to share your thoughts…

    Thanks for noticing my Images.

My opinion is that now EV’s are coming with larger battery packs which in turn gives us a lot more range than my current 27kw Soul. I would gladly sacrifice 20 miles of range if Kia would offer me options like 18″ alloys, Side mouldings etc. I would also like Kia to offer the car in 39 & 64 kw pack as well as allowing owners too chose which power motor they would like. This again is my own personal choice, but I only need 150 winter miles maximum. I would like too choose the 39kw battery pack and have the choice of the higher power motor. I have always driven fast cars, my last ICE was a Saab 9-3 2.0 Turbo. I like speed and I like styling, and this is something I feel all of the current and older EV’s are lacking. We have had no choice up until this point, mostly because of battery range dictating that cars need to be as aero as possible to get as much range from them as possible. This in my opinion has made EV’s look odd and a little soft & weedy.

You’re right, Darren. There should be more choice for consumers to pick up. Just like now, when there are multiple engine and transmission options.
