What’s the price of the Soul 2022 LX Technology Package?
LX is Kia Soul’s most affordable trim level. The Soul LX comes fitted with a 2,0L 4-cylinder engine that packs 147 horsepower and is mated to the carmaker’s IVT automatic transmission.
Previously, the LX trim also offered a 6-speed manual gearbox, but Kia discontinued the unit for the 2022 model year (unfortunately).
When it comes to pricing, the 2022 Soul LX is the cheapest trim level in the Soul model range with the MSRP starting at $19,190 (this price excludes $1,175 destination charge).
Opting for the LX Technology Package costs additional $900, which means that the MSRP of the 2022 Soul LX with Technology Package comes in at $20,090.
There aren’t many other changes made to the 2022 Soul LX. One worth mentioning, though, is the addition of the Steel Gray exterior color, which replaces the Sparkling Silver on the LX trim level.
Soul Technology Package Q&A you may be interested in
1. Does Technology Package include the sunroof?
It doesn’t. If you want a Soul with sunroof, you will have to upgrade to one of the upper trim levels, the EX, X-Line or Turbo.
2. What is the size of the navigation touchscreen in the Soul LX Technology Package?
The 2022 Soul LX Technology Package features an 8-inch color touchscreen for the navigation system. There’s also a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen available, but it requires an upgrade from the LX trim.
The good news about the standard 8-inch navigation system is that it still supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration!
3. Does the 2022 Soul LX offer AWD?
None of the Kia Soul (trim levels) comes available with all-wheel-drive. There are many consumers looking for such an option, but unfortunately the Soul is a front-wheel-drive model only.
Those folks seriously considering a small crossover vehicle with all-wheel-drive system should take a look at the 2022 Kia Seltos crossover, which is priced in a similar range as the boxy Soul, but also comes with standard AWD.
If you’re in the market for an entry level boxy car that doesn’t cost a lot, you should strongly consider the 2022 Soul crossover.
Over the years, the “hamster” ride has proven to be a reliable, fun to drive and affordable vehicle with a plethora of standard and optional features!
